Step 3: Add any new employees and make permanent changes

Before running a payroll, you should create any new employees and make any standard changes to the employee record.

What is an example of a standard change? 

  • Change of address.

  • Salary or pay rate change.

  • Update of email address.

Create a new employee

  1. Select the required company.

  2. Go to the Employee menu.

  3. Select Add New Employee.

  4. You will be asked Do would like to use a template?.

    Payroll Message - do you want to use a template

  5. Select No.

  6. Create the new employee.

    Required information is highlighted in yellow.

  7. Select Save.

Edit and update an employee

  1. Select the required company.

  2. Go to the Employee menu.

  3. Select Alter Current Employee.

  4. Select the required employee.

  5. Make the changes.

  6. Select Save.
