Practice email settings

If you need to send emails using IRIS Elements Practice Management, it's important to set up the connection with your email account. Once the practice set up has been done, each individual user needs to set up their personal email integration.

  1. On the cog icon one the main menu, select Settings then select Practice Management.

  2. Select the Email tab.

Customise the email footer

The email footer is added to the end of all outgoing emails.

Enter the desired footer content in the text field.

Use the button controls to apply the usual format options.

Select the link icon to added hyperlinks.

Select the code icon to switch to an HTML editor.

Notification emails and templates

The email templates shown are used when notifying clients and colleagues about certain events.

Manage notification types

Choose which notification types you want active:

From Notification email templates select the notification types you want to use. Clear the checkbox for any notification types you want to turn off.

Edit the notification template

You can edit the content of each template:

  1. Under Notification email templates select the name of the template you want to edit. The editor window displays.

  2. You can add content for the Subject and Body. Use the editor to format the body content.

  3. Select Bypass the outbox if you want the email to go directly to the client. If this option is selected emails will not be stored in the practice outbox for approval.

You can use field reference Placeholders in the template which will be replaced with the value from the applicable field such as {client.title}.

General settings

  • Send email to practice outbox for approval: Select to hold all emails in the practice outbox until they have been approved. Find out how to approve emails in the practice outbox.

You can overwrite this setting for specific email templates by selecting Bypass the outbox.

Users email

This table lists all the users who have an IRIS Elements Practice Management account for your practice.

The Status column indicates whether the user has successfully integrated their email details (if applicable).

You can select you own name (the name of the current logged in user) from this list to jump to your account profile where you can update email address, name and telephone number, etc.
