Setting up student letter and email templates
Use the Templates function in the Pupil Manager module to set up and manage the standard letters and e-mails you use throughout Ed:gen. These templates can used to send information to student contacts or to other schools.
The templates managed here are the same as the templates found in the Admissions module.
Set up templates with properties to suit you:
- Categorise templates according to whether they are for your own use or to be shared by all users. Separate tabs display your own and shared letter and e-mail templates.
- Select the recipients of letters and e-mails; student contacts or other schools.
- Select whether letters are for general correspondence or are related to the Parent Portal. Parent Portal letters are sent to parents to help them activate their portal accounts.
An example of how templates are listed in the Pupil Manager module is shown below:
Choose to work with:
- Letter Templates.
- Add a new letter.
- Edit a letter.
- Delete a letter. You can only delete a letter that you have set up.
- Export a letter. Use this to keep a backup copy of letters.
- Archive a letter.
- E-mail Templates.
Click on a username in any template to display the User Information window. This is useful if you want to contact the author of the template.
