Form changes in IRIS Elements Practice Management

As a response to user feedback, we've streamlined how forms and tabs work in the latest version of IRIS Elements Practice Management. Users found that the number of tabs created when undertaking certain jobs was getting hard to manage, and they sometimes had to enter the same information on different tabs.

This page keeps a record of any changes that have been made to form and / or tab configuration in IRIS Elements Practice Management. The latest change was made 21/03/2023.

All forms can be viewed by selecting the cog icon at the top of the screen and selecting Forms from the Configuration section.

Master forms

Contact details

The Contact details master form is unchanged.

Client details form

These changes are to the Client details master form, and relate to key data that you gather about your clients.

General tab

Work tab

The content of this tab is unchanged, but it has been renamed to Jobs / Tasks for greater accuracy.

Address tab

The Address tab has been removed. All information that used to be on the address tab is now found in the Information tab.

All other tabs relating to Client details master form

The Services, Contacts, Documents, Email, Notes, and Companies House tabs are all unchanged.


Other forms

The changes below relate to Other forms, found in Settings > Forms.

New or changed forms

These forms have now been added to IRIS Elements Practice Management, or have been changed.

Form name Details
Bookkeeping details - NEW Used to gather information for the new Bookkeeping service
Prospect Conversion - NEW Used to gather information for the new Prospect Conversion service
Services All information in the Services form is synced with the Services tab in the client record.

Deleted forms

The following forms have been deleted, due to the fields contained within them being moved to other parts of the client record or them not being part of any workflow. The new locations of the form fields are detailed in the table below.

Trust Details
  • Accounting year end date is on the Services tab

Unincorporated Association Details
  • Accounting year end date is on the Services tab
