Record client addresses
If your client has branches as well as a main office, you can record all. Other contact information are held on the Contact details tab.
Once an address has been assigned a Type, it cannot be deleted. If you do need to delete a type of address, workarounds are available.
- From the Clients menu, select Clients list.
- Change the client list view to either Active clients or a custom view that includes all relevant clients.
- Go to the Information then Address details tab.
- Select Add address details.
- Complete the required information and any other data you require.
- Either:
- Enter a valid Postcode then select Find address.
- Select Enter address manually and fill in all required fields plus any extra you require.
- Under Type, choose any of the following options:
- Primary — This is the main address used for paper letters and so on. If this is the first address entered for the client, it is automatically selected as the primary address.
- Billing — The address to send invoices to
- Service address — (For Person business types only) The official contact address.
- Registered - (For businesses and trusts only) The business address registered with Companies House.
- SAIL address — This address type is used in IRIS Accountancy Suite and is displayed when this client record has been synchronised with IRIS Elements. To edit this address, you must log into your IRIS Accountancy Suite account.
- Shared address — This address type is used in IRIS Accountancy Suite and is displayed when this client record has been synchronised with IRIS Elements. To edit this address, you must log into your IRIS Accountancy Suite account.
- Select Save.
- Repeat for all registered address for this client.
