IRIS Elements Tax and Accounts is a dedicated product for Taxfiler customers. It contains the same level of features and functionality that you enjoy in Taxfiler today and the experience is almost the same.

You may notice that IRIS Elements Tax and Accounts is no longer available for purchase or trial on the IRIS Marketplace. This is because you can only access this dedicated product via the invitation to migrate your Taxfiler data. Please do not purchase IRIS Elements Tax or IRIS Elements Accounts Production as the migration will not work correctly.

You'll find IRIS Elements Tax and Accounts is an easy switch. We've updated the interface, but we've retained the familiar left-to-right navigation for creating tax returns and accounts. You'll get all the benefits of a shared client record and you can add further products over time.

Yes. You can trial IRIS Elements for 30 days - this is the first part of the migration process. The trial will give you access to all the functionality with the exclusion of submitting accounts or returns.

We recommend migrating your data towards the end of your trial period to avoid any overlap in your billing periods. Only migrate when you're ready to permanently switch to IRIS Elements Tax and Accounts.

As a Taxfiler customer, you will be migrating to a dedicated version of IRIS Elements Tax and Accounts which is not available on our Marketplace. To provide more flexibility for all our customers, we've separated our tax and accounts offering into two separate products. IRIS Elements Tax and IRIS Elements Accounts Production. Both products have various levels of subscription. Please do not purchase IRIS Elements Tax or IRIS Elements Accounts Production as the migration will not work correctly.

Once you've migrated your Taxfiler data and subscribed to IRIS Elements Tax and Accounts you can choose to subscribe to the other tax or accounts products at any point in the future.

As a Taxfiler customer, you can migrate to IRIS Elements Tax and Accounts at the same price and on the same package that you enjoy today, choosing between monthly and annual contracts.

The move to IRIS Elements Tax and Accounts is by invitation, and so that we can support you properly we're sending email invitations in batches to eligible customers. Initially, this will be to customers with one user who subscribe monthly. If you haven't received your email yet, don't worry - we will invite you as soon as we can. Please do not purchase IRIS Elements Tax or IRIS Elements Accounts Production as the migration will not work correctly.

Emails will be sent to the Taxfiler Primary User.

Taxfiler Primary Users will see a Join the world of IRIS Elements message with an Act Now button when migration is available. The message will display the number of days left before the migration must be completed.

If you're an annual subscriber, you'll see the message closer to the end of your contract.

The following data is migrated:

• Your practice details.

• All active clients. Find out more about preparing your client data for migration.

• All tax returns and accounts of all types, for all years. This includes any in-progress returns or accounts - you can pick up where you left off after migration.

• Any VAT returns.

• Third-party bookkeeping links are preserved.

The following data is not migrated:

• Online filing passwords to HMRC or Companies House. You'll need to set up passwords after migrating.

• Any additional users associated with your Taxfiler account. You'll need to invite users after migrating.

During the sign-up process for the IRIS Elements trial, you'll be asked to read and accept new terms and conditions.

The notice period for IRIS Elements Tax & Accounts has changed for customers paying annually:

• If you pay annually, your notice period is 90 days.

• If you pay monthly, your notice period is 30 days.

The notice period for your Taxfiler account remains the same:

• If you pay annually, your notice period is 60 days.

• If you pay monthly, your notice period is 30 days.

We've created a migration process to move your data and filing history.

From June 2022, we stopped selling the current version of Taxfiler to new customers. Access to Taxfiler will be removed in March 2025, and data moved to a read only state. This data will be available until July 2025.

We're focusing our attention on IRIS Elements and new technology to bring you a better experience.
