Taxfiler Practice Management

IRIS Elements Tax and Accounts comes with home dashboard widgets that allow you to view the status of your clients’ tax returns and accounts across your practice.

These details are currently held in separate widgets. We’re working to create a new widget that displays your practice’s combined upcoming deadlines in one place.

If you need additional functionality, read about IRIS Elements Practice Management to see if it would be a good fit for your practice. You can trial or subscribe to Practice Management after you’ve been through the migration process.

It’s important you first sign up to IRIS Elements Tax and Accounts by selecting the link in your welcome email, or through the notification in Taxfiler telling you it's time to upgrade. Signing up through a different channel may cause problems when trying to migrate your data.

IRIS Elements additional features

The following additional features are available with IRIS Elements Tax and Accounts:

  • Tax computation (labelled as SA302) assists with bank requests and mortgage applications.

  • If a return has already been submitted, but an amendment is made, the return is automatically marked as amended.

  • Improved client relationship handling to automate tax return completion. For example, if a client is linked to a business as an employee, the employee pages for their tax return are automatically created.

  • Improved user interface and experience. For example, when you add a new section to a return, the available sections are now laid out across various tabs.

  • Payments on account is included in the tax computation.
