Add online filing credentials

Before submitting tax returns or filing accounts in IRIS Elements, you must add your HMRC and Companies House credentials.

If you are migrating data from Taxfiler by IRIS, you must locate your HMRC and Companies House credentials, then add them manually.

To add the online filing credentials: 

1. Go to the Cog icon, then select Settings.
2. Select Tax & Accounts online filing passwords.

Add HMRC Credentials

1. Select Add HMRC credentials.
2. Enter your Government Gateway Agent User ID and Password.
3. Select which types of submission these credentials are used for.
4. (Optional) To receive receipts for your submissions, enter an Email address.
5. Save changes.

Add Companies House Credentials

1. Select Add Companies House credentials.

2. Enter the Presenter ID and Presenter authentication code.

   The Presenter ID is a mix of 11 characters starting and ending with 000, not the email address used for Companies House Web Filing.

3. (Optional) To receive notifications and reminders from Companies House, Email address defaults to the email address for your account.

   If you do not want to receive notifications and reminders, clear the email address. No submission receipts are sent by email.

4. Save changes.
