Automatic Top Ups — November 2024

We're excited to announce that parents and carers can now set up student dinner money or register accounts to be automatically topped up.

When a parent or carer sets up an automatic top up, if the account balance drops below the value they choose, a payment is automatically taken for the top up amount they set.

Only one automatic top up amount can be taken each day. If the account balance drops below the minimum amount set for the Automatic Top Up more than once in an day, an additional payment is not taken until the next day.

Automatic top ups cannot be set up for accounts in debt until the parent or carer has made a payment to clear the debt.

In certain circumstances you might need to stop automatic top up payments for a student's account or it will be cancelled automatically. Whenever an automatic top is stopped or cancelled, the parent or carer who set it up are sent an email with the reasons why and what they need to do.

Supporting Parents and Carers Using Automatic Top Ups

Only one parent or carer linked to the student can set up Automatic Top Ups for each account for the student.

If the option to set up an automatic top up is not displayed for a parent and carer, then another linked contact has already set them up for that account.

The parent or carer who set up the automatic top up is the only one who can access the details to view and change them.
