Security for Ledgers

This guidance is only for IRIS Financials Version 7.0.2223 or later. If using version 7.0.2103 or earlier, go to Applying Security to a Ledger.

To manage what users can access and how they can use Ledgers, the relevant security must be set for the user group they are assigned to.

Permissions can be assigned by setting the security from the User Group Maintenance screen or the Ledgers Maintenance screen.

For ledgers, default security settings can be applied rather than set by user group.

Security Options for Ledgers

For each listed option, all users in the group can be given permission to:

• View — Documents posted to the ledger can be access from enquiries.
• Modify — Add new ledgers, edit details, and change settings.
• Post — Select the ledger when completing document input forms.
• Modify Payment — Change payment details for accounts on the ledger.
• View Analysis — Access and view details in analysis fields for accounts on the ledger.
