Getting started with Pupil Manager

Use the Pupil Manager module to set up and manage student records in Ed:gen. Student data is usually imported for you before you use the Pupil Manager module for the first time. Contact the Help Desk if you need further help importing student data from your previous management information system into Ed:gen.

Use the functions available in the module to:

• Set up the module to suit you.
• Manage current student records.
• Manage applicant records.
• Manage school leaver and former student records.
• Set up your own custom groups of student records. This is useful for school trips, etc.
• Add student records.
• Run reports on student data.

The Pupil Manager module can also be displayed as the Student Manager module.

The terms student and pupil are used interchangeably in the Pupil Manager module.

The Pupil Manager module is closely linked to the School Manager module and the Admissions module. These modules must be set up for all functions in the Pupil Manager module to function as expected.
