Linking IRIS GP Payroll to My ePay Window

Note: Once you have published to My ePay Window, you will no longer be able to publish to IRIS OpenPayslips. Access will still be available and the data will be migrated from IRIS OpenPayslips.

As of the April 2026 release, IRIS GP Payroll cannot publish to OpenPayslips, only to My ePay Window.

This guide explains how to link IRIS GP Payroll to My ePay Window so that you can publish payslips, P50s, P45s and pension letters to your employees. Linking takes two steps: generating a set of temporary credentials in My ePay Window, then switching on My ePay Window in IRIS GP Payroll and entering those credentials.

Before you start

Before you can link IRIS GP Payroll to My ePay Window, the Payroll Administrator account is required.

Every company also needs a Payroll Department User. This is in effect the 'admin user', who has full access and can view all payroll companies, as well as configuring privileges to suit all other users. Once you have created the Payroll Department user, you can publish from IRIS GP Payroll.

Who needs to follow this process

Not affected: payroll departments that are already connected to IRIS GP Payroll.

Affected:

  • New users signing up to My ePay Window.

  • Users moving their payroll department to IRIS GP Payroll from another payroll product.

Step 1: Generate your credentials in My ePay Window

To link IRIS GP Payroll to My ePay Window, you need a temporary Username and Password generated from within My ePay Window.

  1. Log in to My ePay Window as a Payroll Department User using your email and password.

  2. Navigate to the Administration tab on the left-hand side.

Generate the credentials

  1. Select the Generate Payroll Credentials button.

  2. A pop-up will display with a Username and Password.

    • These credentials are valid for one-time use and expire after 60 minutes.

    • If they are not used within 60 minutes, you must regenerate them.

    • Each set of credentials is unique.

Tip: Keep the pop-up open, or copy the Username and Password, and have IRIS GP Payroll ready before you start Step 2, so the credentials do not expire before you use them.

Step 2: Switch on and link My ePay Window in IRIS GP Payroll

Switching on My ePay Window and entering your credentials are both done from the same screen in IRIS GP Payroll.

  1. Log into IRIS GP Payroll.

  2. Select Setup/ Options from the menu.

  3. Select 2 - Passwords.

  4. In the myePayWindow Details section, tick Use myePayWindow.

  5. Select Save.

  6. Select Link.

  7. The myePayWindow Login screen displays. Enter the temporary Username and Password you generated in Step 1, then select Login.

Important: Use the credentials you generated in Step 1, not your normal My ePay Window email and password. They are valid for one use only and expire after 60 minutes.

Once complete, you can publish Payslips, P50s, P45s and Pension Letters from IRIS GP Payroll to My ePay Window.

Important notes

  • Credentials expire after one use or 60 minutes, whichever comes first.

  • You can regenerate credentials as many times as you need.

  • You only need to enter credentials in IRIS GP Payroll when you select Link.
