Known issues in IRIS Elements

This topic lists any outstanding known issues, together with any workarounds available. You can also view fixed issues.

We are actively working to resolve these issues and will release fixes as soon as possible.

502 Bad Gateway

We are aware of an issue where customers are seeing 502 Bad Gateway errors or a Sorry, we couldn't find that page message when attempting to access IRIS Elements, typically when accessing their tax returns or accounts.

We are working to resolve this issue as soon as possible. If you can, try the following:

  • Clear your browser cache
  • Try a different browser
  • Use a different machine
  • Go to https://elements.iris.co.uk

AML audit client tab not responding We are aware of an issue where the AML audit tab is not loading correctly. We are working to resolve this issue as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience caused. 21 Aug 2024
Practice teams functionality unavailable

We are aware of an issue with the teams functionality in IRIS Elements Practice Management. Because of this, we have taken the decision to hide this until we can provide a better experience for you.

Customers already using this feature can continue assigning work to existing team groups and access to them is via the same URL. However, new groups cannot be created. For more information, go to Practice teams settings.

We are working to resolve this issue as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

IRIS AML Checks unavailable

We regret that our AML checks service is currently experiencing difficulties, resulting in the following check types being unavailable:

  • UK Individual ID checks
  • UK Company reports
  • and so on

We are working with our provider to resolve the issue as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Unable to input Trial Balance figures in IRIS Elements Tax and Accounts

We are aware of an issue where IRIS Elements Tax and Accounts customers are unable to input figures into Trial Balance.

We are currently investigating the issue and hope to have a resolution soon.

Uploading documents to clients' Documents tab

When attempting to upload documents to a client's record in the Documents tab, you may find the Select file button doesn't always acknowledge the mouse-click.

We are investigating the problem. In the meantime, you can drag and drop documents from File Explorer into the upload dialog.

 
IRIS Elements Proposal Manager Limits

Some users are incorrectly being told that they have reached their limit of proposals.

If you have subscribed on a PAYG basis (IRIS Elements Proposal Manager Essentials), please cancel your subscription and resubscribe. This does impact any live or historic proposals, but should fix the issue.

If you have subscribed on an annual plan (IRIS Elements Proposal Manager Professional), please contact rob.millen@iris.co.uk to arrange for your license to be reset manually. It is likely we have already attempted to contact you via email.

If you have yet to initiate a subscription, please access the IRIS Elements Marketplace and chose from the options available.

General - adding PSC relationships

When adding PSC relationships, selecting the Nature of control is not working as expected. The scroll bar needs to be used in order to see, and select, the content of the list.

IRIS Elements Practice Management and IRIS Elements Accounts Production (any level)

When editing the Supervisory body in practice details, any changes made revert back to the default.

 

This will affect some of the default text that appears in accounts report.

For IRIS Elements Practice Management text sender code cannot be updated. When a text message is sent, the sender code is Dev and cannot be updated. We are currently working on a fix which will enable the code to be manually changed, but will be set to Accountant by default. This will be available very soon. 13 Mar 23
Relationship synchronisation to and from IRIS Accountancy Suite is inconsistent. Some customers have experience issues synchronising relationship data to and from IRIS Accountancy Suite. We are currently investigating. 27 Feb 23
Import from CSV issue for sole traders Once imported, when attempting to add relationships to a sole trader, no relationships are available for selection. 27 Feb 23
