Submit accounts to Companies House

If you subscribe to IRIS Elements Accounts Production (any level), refer to Submit accounts.

Before submitting accounts, make sure that you have set up your Companies House online filing passwords. The accounts must have been checked, finalised and marked as approved.

Filleted accounts are automatically created - this doesn't affect the accounts to be attached to a tax return and submitted to HMRC. Filleted accounts are only submitted to Companies House electronically for the FRS 102 Section 1A and FRS 105 formats. If you need to submit full accounts, you'll need to print them and send by post.

Companies House doesn't allow for amended accounts to be submitted electronically. Amended accounts will need to be printed and sent by post. Refer to https://www.gov.uk/annual-accounts/corrections-and-amendments (opens in a new tab).

  1. Go to Clients > Client list and find the required client.

  2. On the Accounts widget on the client dashboard, select the required accounts.

  1. On the Check & File tab, check the accounts, and if you haven't already, Mark as Final.
  2. If the accounts have been approved, select Submit. The accounts are then submitted to Companies House.
