Add accounting periods
If you subscribe to IRIS Elements Accounts Production (any level), refer to Create accounts for a client.
You can create a new accounting period whenever needed. The start and end of period are automatically populated based on the previous year's accounts, but can be edited.

Go to Clients > Client list and find the required client.

From the Accounts widget on the client dashboard, select Add new period.
The Name of business is automatically populated.
The Comparative period start and end dates are automatically populated with the previous year's accounts, but can be edited.

Select Create.
