Set Up Progresso MIS Link

The Progresso MIS Link automatically transfers parents and students, staff, and parents' evening data from Progresso into IRIS ParentMail.

Before you install the Management Information System (MIS) Link, IRIS ParentMail need to check the data to make sure user details are not duplicated. You need to log a support ticket (a Service Cloud account is required) or select Live Chat to contact the Technical Support Team.

After the checks have been carried out, you can set up your Progresso MIS Link.

  1. In IRIS ParentMail, go to Settings > MIS Link.

If Settings is not displayed, or if you can access settings but a blank page is displayed, you do not have Manage Settings permission. For more information, go to Manage User Permissions.

  1. Select Progresso from the Select MIS drop-down list.
  2. Enter the Username and Password provided to you by Progresso.
  3. Select which imports you want to sync. The following options are available:

    • Class Teacher Export
    • Tutors Export
    • Staff Export
    • Student Parent Export
  1. Finally, set the frequency to synchronise IRIS ParentMail and your MIS.

We recommend for this to be set to Daily, to make sure updates are synchronised overnight daily.

  2. Select Save.

You can then view and manage the following for your Progresso MIS Link:

Disable Link — select to stop overnight syncing.

Manual Sync — select if you need to synchronise information in IRIS ParentMail before the next scheduled sync.

Import Pre-Admissions — select to manually import your pre-admissions (draft) students.

Change Provider — select if you change your MIS provider to remove your current link and create a new one.

To check the information that has been imported, go to Imports > Imports. The Progresso link imports listed confirm the link is successfully set up.

The system produces a Rejected Records report with all data that could not be imported and the reasons why. For more information, go to Run Rejected Records Reports .

If any errors are displayed after entering your credentials and saving, take a screenshot of the error message and log a support ticket (a Service Cloud account is required) or select Live Chat to contact the Technical Support Team.
