Understanding your desktop
Once you have logged into Ed:gen you will see your desktop:

| Module Bar | Modules help you to manage information in Ed:gen. Your 'favourites' are displayed in the module bar.Your Ed:gen Administrator will set your module groups. |
| Top Toolbar | Use the buttons available to control your user setup, access the online help and view Ed:gen messenger messages. |
| Dashboard | More than one dashboard may be available for you to view. Each dashboard is made up of a number of widgets which are useful to you, such as your school timetable or access to the iCommunity forum. |
| Wizard Bar | Multiple wizards listed under wizard heading tabs. Wizards are popup windows and dialog boxes which guide you through procedures on the module bar. |
| Messages | Access system messages. |
| Task Bar | Tabs displaying modules you currently have open. |
