Intelligent document processing - Supported documents

Only available when creating personal tax returns (SA100).

The intelligent document processing feature supports 10 document types, uploaded as either .PDF or .DOCX file formats.

Document type What is imported
P60 Employee income extracted into the Employment section.
P11D

Any benefits in kind and expenses, such as company care, private medical insurance, or travel allowances, are extracted into the Employment section.

Names on the P11D are presented on the form as last_name, first_name so are flagged as low confidence. You can ignore this when reviewing.

Business Bank Statement - Business Debits and credits are extracted into the Income and Expenses sub-sections of the Self-Employment section.
Personal Bank Statement – Personal Interest payments are extracted as savings income into the Interest from UK banks, etc. section.
Dividend Voucher A dividend voucher is issued by a company each time a dividend payment is made to a shareholder, confirming the payment date, the dividend amount, and any associated tax credit. This is extracted into the relevant dividend section: Dividends from UK companies, Dividends from foreign companies section (SA100), Other dividends (SA100), Stock dividends (SA100).
Elements Checklist This is a client questionnaire generated to gather the information required to complete a tax return. It is based on the previous year's return and provides a structure for capturing updated figures for the current year. All data is extracted into the relevant sections.
Elements Schedules of Data This is the detailed report that lists all the values entered into the tax return. All data is extracted into the relevant sections. Use this to import last year's values.
IAS Income Tax Checklist The IRIS Accountancy Suite version of the Elements Checklist in paper form. All data is extracted into the relevant sections.
IAS E-Income Tax Checklist The IRIS Accountancy Suite version of the Elements Checklist in digital form. All data is extracted into the relevant sections.
IAS Schedules of Data The IRIS Accountancy Suite version of the Elements Schedules of Data. All data is extracted into the relevant sections.
