Start an ad hoc job

Jobs do not have to be a part of a service, there is also the option to complete a job on an ad hoc basis.

You can configure a brand new job to use on an ad hoc basis or choose from one of the existing job templates.

  1. From the Clients menu, select Clients list then find and open the required client. If any of the entries are greyed out and you cannot select them, this is a restricted client — the client record has been set to Private and you do not have access. Contact your IRIS Elements administrator if you believe this is a mistake. Select the Jobs / tasks tab and select Start ad hoc job.
  2. Select which Job you want to start.
  3. Set the job date. If you don't select one, a default job date will be applied.
  4. Select Start job. The job will be added to the Jobs section of the Work tab.
