View and upload ID documents

You can upload ID documents, such as proof of name and address, passports, birth or marriage certificates, driving licences, utility bills, etc.

Files must be less than 15MB and in either .PNG, .JPG, or .PDF format.

  1. Go to Clients > Client List and find the required you want to run the ID check for.

  2. On the Client page select the AML tab. The AML documents panel shows any currently uploaded documents.

  3. To upload a new document, select Upload. Browse to the document you want to upload.

  4. Enter a Name, Description (optional), then select the Type (proof of name or proof of address), and Sub type of document (e.g. passport, birth certificate, etc.).

  5. Optionally enter a Reference number for the document. If you enter a passport MRZ, driving licence number, etc here, this will ensure that the document is automatically uploaded for applicable checks (such as ID checks).

    To prevent the ID check failing, the reference number must be entered exactly as it appears on the ID document. For example, if a GB passport reference is entered in needs to be in the format 1234567890GBR1234567M1234567<<<<<<<<<<<<<<04 (including the angle brackets). You don't need to enter the person's name.

  6. Enter or select the document Expiry date, then select Upload in background. When complete, the ID document is displayed in the list and the status is updated.

  7. You can add further documents by selecting Upload, or select the more options (3 dots) icon to View the document details or Delete the document.
