Getting Ready for the New Academic Year
Use the following topics to help you get ready for the start of the new academic year:
- Create Staff Member Accountsin IRIS BioStore Portal and assign the correct Roles and Permissions.

Add pre-admissions students in your Management Information System (MIS).
To add pre-admissions students details into IRIS BioStore Portal, you must be using the pre-admissions feature. The pre-admissions feature comes with additional costs. For more information, contact your Account Manager.
- Assign allergen information to new students and staff members.
- Review the settings for allowances, such as Free School Meals (FSM) and so on.
- Update available items and make sure they have categories assigned.
- Add new menus or review and update existing menus.
- Set up the calendar:
- Add the new or updated menus.
- Set school holiday dates.

If your organisation uses IRIS BioStore Bookings, send the relevant template message to parents and carers of new students to let them know what they need to do.
