Switch Email and SMS Verification Settings On or Off

To control whether IRIS ParentMail automatically sends account registration invite emails and text messages to parents and carers of your students when they are imported, you must switch on the applicable settings.

Text message invites are only sent to parents and carers who have a mobile number IRIS ParentMail if an email address has not been entered for them, or to all parents and carers if Enable Email Verification has not been switched on.

If Enable Sms Verification is switched on, charges are applied for the number of credits used for each text message sent.

  1. Go to Settings, then select General.

  2. Switch on the relevant settings:
    • To automatically send account registration invite emails:
      1. Select Enable Email Verification.
      2. Select Enable.
      3. To confirm the setting is switched on, select OK.
    • To automatically send account registration invites as text messages:
      1. Select Enable Sms Verification.
      2. Select Enable.
      3. To confirm the setting is switched on, select OK.

If the only option displayed is Disable, the settings are already switched on.

Selecting Disable for the verification options turns off the automatic messages. If both verification settings are turned off, or the parents or carers do not have contact details in IRIS ParentMail for the turned off setting, invites must sent manually.
