Recipient Options

When sending email, text, or IRIS ParentMail app messages, to choose which contacts linked to the recipient get the message, one of the following Recipient Options must be selected:

Recipient Option When to use
Send to Primary Contacts Only
  • To only send the message to the contact marked as primary contacts in IRIS ParentMail
  • Staff members or group of recipients not linked to students, such as governors, are selected as Recipients.
Message is sent to every contact linked to selected students Sending messages to parents and carers where all linked contacts must receive a copy of the message for each student they are linked to.
For contacts linked to more than one student, send one message To send a combined message for parents and carers linked to more than one student, rather than an individual message for each student.
