Configuring access to menus

CUSTADMIN access only

Using security roles, it is possible to restrict menu access to users who have been assigned a specific security role.

  1. Go to Home, then select Command Security from the menu.
  2. The Command Security window is displayed. The left-hand panel lists the functions in IRIS Financials where access can be set. Expand each area by selecting Expand (+).

  3. When expanded, the ApplicationMenu heading displays the main menus within the application, which can be further expanded to show the individual menus. In the following graphic, the Home menu has been expanded to show the Settings option. select EDIT.

  4. Once EDIT has been selected , fields that can be edited are enabled. Select ... in Role.
  5. Double-select to select the required role from the Select a role for dialog.
  6. The selected role is displayed in Role. If you want to hide the menu option for all users who do not have access, select Hide.
  7. If you want to edit other menus or options, select the next menu/option and changes are automatically saved. Alternatively, select SAVE.

  8. An Update complete message is displayed. Select OK to close the message and return to the previous window.
