Security for Nominals

This guidance is only for IRIS Financials Version 7.0.2223 or later. If using version 7.0.2103 or earlier, go to Overview of Security Roles.

To manage what users can access and how they can use Nominals, the relevant security must be set for the user group they are assigned to.

Permissions can be assigned by setting the security from the User Group Maintenance screen or the Nominals Maintenance screen.

Security Options for Nominals

For each listed option, all users in the group can be given permission to:

• View — Documents posted to the nominal can be access from enquiries.
• Modify — Add new , edit details, and change settings.
• Post — Select the nominal when completing document input forms.
• Add Ledger — Change the ledger assigned to the nominal.
