Security for Accounts

This guidance is only for IRIS Financials Version 7.0.2223 or later. If using version 7.0.2103 or earlier, go to Applying Security to a Cost Centre.

To manage what users can access and how they can use Accounts, the relevant security must be set for the user group they are assigned to.

Permissions can be assigned by setting the security from the User Group Maintenance screen or the Accounts Maintenance screen.

Security Options for Accounts

For each listed option, all users in the group can be given permission to:

  • View — Documents posted to the account can be access from enquiries.
  • Modify — Add new accounts, edit details, and change settings.
  • PostSelect the account when completing document input forms.
