Close IRIS Financials Accounts for Bank Accounts
This guidance is only for IRIS Financials Version 7.0.2103 or earlier. If using version 7.0.2223 or later, go to Close IRIS Financials Accounts for Bank Accounts.
When a bank account is no longer used or required, the account in IRIS Financials must be closed.
When accounts are no longer required, changing the Security closes the account. After closing an account the details are kept for audits and financial reporting, and can only be accessed by users who have the set access permissions.

Go to Maintenance, then select Accounts.
- Find and select the required ledger, then the account.
- Select Security.
- Select NO_ACCESS in Role for View, Modify, and Post.
- SAVE the changes.
