The database views provide unprecedented access to your IRIS database and careful consideration must be given to the contents of the reports you design and who is allowed access. Microsoft SQL server does not inherit the security system and login control built into the IRIS applications due to the SQL server containing its own security controls.
The IRIS applications contain their own SQL server access control and only through the correct configuration of your SQL server security accounts will users be able to access the database views.

The IRIS Professional Services team can assist you with the correct configuration of your Microsoft SQL service security settings.
Due to sensitive client information being exposed without the security of a confidential client password the decision was taken to exclude any confidential client information. This may produce discrepancies between the IRIS Practice Suite and custom reports created using the database views where confidential clients exist.
