Create a Bank (Public) Holiday
This topic details how to add a Bank (public) Holiday in the system, but you can also assign all bank (public) holidays to a country at once in the Set up a country screen.
The Bank Holidays feature allows you to set a date as a non-working day for all employees, by country.
They do not affect employee holiday balances and you can add Bank Holidays as far forward into the future as you need.

Select Create New to add a new Bank Holiday, one day at a time.

Specify the following:

Country: Only affects employees who have this as their Country in their Contract tab.

Date: The date of the Bank Holiday.

Half Day Start: The Bank Holiday only affects the morning (AM).

Half Day End: The Bank Holiday only affects the afternoon (PM).

Once set, you can view Bank Holidays in employees' My Details > Personal > Actions > Event Calendar or in the Group Absence Calendar (Absence > View Group).
