Assign Approvers to Accounts
This guidance is only for IRIS Financials Version 7.0.2223 or later. If using version 7.0.2103 or earlier, go to Assigning approvers to cost centres and Assigning Approvers to Fixed Asset Accounts.
Accounts can have up to three approvers for documents.
If approvers are not set for an account then IRIS Financials Purchasing documents are automatically authorised. However, if a fallback user has been set, IRIS Financials sets the fallback user as the authoriser.
Changing an approver from one user to another affects only new requisitions or orders. To get existing requisitions or orders authorised, they must be repolled.
- Go to Maintenance, then select Users.
- If the LINKS section is not displayed on the right, select LINKS.
- Select Approvers, then the relevant ledger.
- For Requisition, set the approver in Approver 1, Approver 2, and Approver 3 for each account.
- Select Purchase Order, set the approver in Approver 1, Approver 2, and Approver 3 for each account.
- SAVE the settings.
