Companies House identity verification

Please contact Companies House directly for more information and to resolve any issues. We are unable to provide support with Companies House processes.

All new and existing Company directors, Persons with Significant Control (PSCs), and Members of Limited Liability Partnership (LLPs), are required to verify their identity with Companies House. This applies to any individual with an official position in a UK company.

When you verify your client's identity, they will receive a Companies House personal code, which you must enter into their client record.

This functionality will be available from 18th November 2025.
