Form a company - add share capital information

When forming a company, the fourth step is to assign shareholdings for the company, and shares to shareholders.

  1. Under Share capital, select Add share class.

  2. Select the Share description to be used and enter the information for the share class. the Total payable amount is automatically calculated.

  3. A generic set of Prescribed particulars are supplied, but you can add your own. Select Edit.

  4. Enter the desired text and select Save share class. The Shareholdings tab is enabled and displays each person who has been added as a shareholder in Step 3: Relationships. To revert back to the generic prescribed particulars, select Reset.

  5. Select Add shareholding.

  6. Select the Share class type and add the Number of shares allocated to the individual. Total payable and Total paid is automatically calculated. Select Save.

  7. Repeat the process for all shareholders.

    All shares need to be allocated to all shareholders before submitting the company to Companies House.

  8. Select Save & continue.

The next step is to add the articles of association.
