Use and manage your client portal
The most efficient and secure way to interact with your clients is through the client portal. This is a dedicated area that your client can securely access through the internet.
Common tasks involve:
- Invite clients to use the client portal
- Request signatures from your client
- Share documents with your client
- Answer questions from your client — An IRIS Elements Practice Management subscription is required
If you subscribe to IRIS Elements Practice Management
You can assign tasks, request documents and upload documents for signature. You can also remind clients of upcoming dates and deadlines and use the question and answer function to message contacts directly, all updated directly in the client record.
You'll receive an email, and a notification is displayed in IRIS Elements, when your client asks you a question, responds to an asked question, adds a comment, completes a task or signs a document.

If you don't subscribe to IRIS Elements Practice Management, you can upload documents for client signature.
You'll receive an email, and a notification is displayed in IRIS Elements, when your client signs a document.
