Submit accounts for Community Interest Companies

When creating a new business client (as a Limited Company, Limited by Shares), choose a Sub type of Community Interest Company. When creating Community Interest Companies (CIC) businesses, you must add a relationship to a Director and another to a Secretary.

CIC businesses use the same chart of accounts as other businesses and have the same reporting standards available in IRIS Elements Accounts Production.

Create CIC accounts

When creating the accounts, choose the relevant CIC34 report type — From the Options tile (Entity Setup tab), choose either Simplified or Detailed.

The CIC34 report is appended to the Accounts Builder and must be filled in separately. A separate signature is required for the CIC34 report.
