Add Products and Pricing

All products you want available on menus must be added as an item.

Items can be added manually or imported.

  1. Go to Products, then select Items.
  2. Select Add Product.
  3. In Product Details, enter the following details: 
    1. A meaningful name in Description.
    2. The items included in the product, in Line 1 and Line 2.
    3. If used, enter the Barcode and Price Look-up Code (PLU).
    4. From Tax Group, select the relevant VAT rate.
    5.  Choose the product options: 
      1. Can be discounted — To allow discounts to be applied.
      2. Available for FSM and allowances — Can be purchased by customers who have Free School Meal or other allowances.
  4. Select Categories/Warnings, then select the relevant Categories and Product Warnings.

    If you use IRIS BioStore Bookings, for an item to display in the app for parents and carers to order, it must be assigned to a category.

  5. Select Prices, then add the required pricing for students and staff members.
  6. To save, select Submit.
