Delete Groups

Delete Group Types

When manually created, group types can be deleted when no longer required. It is not possible to delete mandatory group types including, Class Groups, Registration Groups, and Year Groups.

You cannot delete a group type with a group with students linked to it. You either need to delete the applicable groups or move the linked users to another group type first.

  1. Go to Groups > Group Types.
  2. Search for and select the required group type, then select Actions.
  3. Select Delete.
  4. A confirmation message is displayed. Select Delete to confirm.
  5. A success message is displayed. Select OK.

Delete Groups

If a group is no longer required, it can be deleted. Deleting a group does not delete the users linked to the group from the system, just from the group.

Delete an individual group

  1. Go to Groups > Groups.
  2. Search for and select the required group, then select Actions.
  3. Select Delete.
  4. A confirmation message is displayed. Select Yes to confirm.
  5. A success message is displayed. Select OK.

Remove Multiple Empty Groups

  1. Go to Settings > Housekeeping.
  2. Select Remove Empty Groups.
  3. A warning message is displayed, select No to go back or Yes to confirm.
  4. A success message is displayed. Select OK.
