Tutors Rejected Records Report
After importing the Parents Evening: Tutor Export, rows with missing
The Status column displays why the data failed to import in IRIS ParentMail:
- Complete Row Rejection — All the data in the row failed to import
- Partially Rejected — The student data has been successfully imported but the details for the parent or carer failed to import
- Import Successful (warning only) — The data has been successfully imported but contact details failed to import.
The Reason column displays what data must be updated to import the data in IRIS ParentMail:

Check the IRIS ParentMail user list to find the user with the same details. If the details are for the same parent or carer, they have more than one record in your Management Information System (MIS). The duplicate records must be removed from your MIS. For details assigned to more than one parent or carer, contact the parents or carers to ask them to confirm their details. |
Email address/mobile number is not valid | Enter the relevant email address or mobile number for the parent or carer, or staff member |
Incorrect DOB Format | Student date of birth must be entered in DD Month YYYY format, such as 09 November 2011 |
Incorrect Gender Format | Enter M for male or F for female. |

To force SIMS to create a new unique ID code for the parent or carer, in SIMS:

Check at least one parent or carer for the student has Parental Responsibility selected in you Management Information System (MIS), then copy their details. In SIMS, section 5: Family/Home — If Court Order is selected, you must clear the selection for contact details to be imported in IRIS ParentMail. When the parent or carer has been successfully imported in IRIS ParentMail, in SIMS, select Court Order. |

Enter the parent or carers first name or last name. If the parent or carer details are unknown, enter a full stop or initial, then they can update their details when registering their IRIS ParentMail account. |
Parent Requires Contact ID: |
Copy the Contact ID for the parent or carer from your Management Information System (MIS). If the parent or carer does not have a Contact ID in your MIS, use the formula =”MAN-“&J2&K2&M2 to create a unique code in the report. |

If using a different Management Information System (MIS), check the details have been entered in the correct fields, then copy the details to the import report. |

The warning is displayed because a relationship type entered was not on the IRIS ParentMail list. The record is automatically updated to Parent. If the relationship type needs to be changed, enter one of the relationship types available for IRIS ParentMail users. |
