Import Arbor Data
These instructions should be followed if you are importing data from Arbor. If you have recently changed Management Information System (MIS) to Arbor, additional processes need to be completed before you can import data in IRIS ParentMail. For more information, go to Change Management Information System (MIS).
Before importing any new Arbor data, you need to log a support ticket (a Service Cloud account is required) or select Live Chat to contact the Technical Support Team. IRIS ParentMail can then reset your IDs to ensure no duplicates occur.
You need to export your organisation data from Arbor to be imported in IRIS ParentMail. For more information, please view Arbor's Help Centre.
To import from Arbor, download the applicable report from the following and save the file on your computer until you need it in the next steps:
- Staff Legal Names Report
- Staff Preferred Names Report
- Student Parent - Legal Guardians Only Legal Names Report
- Student Parent - Legal Guardians Only Preferred Names Report
- Log in to Arbor. Select School > Custom report writer.
- The Custom Report Writer page is displayed.
- Select Create New Report, then Import a report.
- The Import Custom Report dialog is displayed. Select Browse, locate the report file you previously saved on your computer, then select Upload.
- Your import is now prepared for IRIS ParentMail. Select Download, then CSV.
- Open the file in Excel, then save as a csv.
