Security for Periods

This guidance is only for IRIS Financials Version 7.0.2223 or later if your organisation has switched on the New security screens. If it is not switched on or using version 7.0.2103 or earlier, go to Change Security Roles for Period States.

To manage what users can access and how they can use Periods, the relevant security must be set for the user group they are assigned to.

Permissions can be assigned by setting the security from the User Group Maintenance screen.

Security Options for Periods

For each listed option, all users in the group can be given permission to:

• Post — Only post documents to periods with the set selected states.
