Switch On New Security for IRIS Financials

This guidance is only for IRIS Financials Version 7.0.2223 or later if your organisation has switched on the New security screens. If it is not switched on or using version 7.0.2103 or earlier, these features are not available.

To use the new Security feature for IRIS Financials, you must switch it on.

1. Go to Home, then select Settings.

2. On Global settings for all users, select Preview Features, then EDIT.

3. Select New Security Screens.

4. SAVE the changes.

IRIS Financials creates Security Roles starting with 'RX' only when you change an item. These won't be visible when using the New Security screens.

Disable Account Roles on Ledgers

This hides the View Accounts and Modify Accounts options when you change ledger security. Before selecting this, clear or make changes to all assigned Ledger Roles. You can review your applied roles using the Security Reports on your Security Reports Dashboard.
