How to request general leave

To request general leave through my portal please follow the steps below:

- Make sure you are in the My Portal area of Every HR.

- Go to My Leave.

On this page, you can select which type of leave you are requesting - either General Absence or Holiday leave.

- Select +Request General Absence.

- Fill in the mandatory field in order to save your leave request.

Reason for Absence: Choose from the drop-down box of absence reasons for the one that best relates to your request.

First Day of Absence: Put the date your leave will start. You also have the option to state a time, and this can be helpful if you are requesting a certain time frame rather than a full day.

Last Day of Absence: Put the date your leave will end. You have the option again to add in a time.

Roles affected by absence: Select which role(s) will be affected by this time off. This is helpful for members of staff with multiple roles and ensures the absence is linked to the correct role for reporting.

Absence for (Days): Every HR will suggest the number of days you will be absent based on the information you put in for the first and last days of your absence, as well as your work pattern. If you disagree with the suggested number you can enter this information manually.

Once you have filled out the information your screen should look like this:

- Click Save to submit your absence request.

Your request will be added to your calendar in My Leave. You can also view this request in the Absence Requests tab.

You can view all your absences within the List View tab, and your request will show a status of Awaiting Approval.

Your line manager will be informed of your request, and once they have approved it you will receive an email notification letting you know that this has happened and the request's status will change to Approved.
