Absence Management Main Settings Guide

Please note that you must have the absence permission enabled along with the edit settings permission to view the following screens.

To view your absence main settings:

- Click Absence Management on the main menu on the left hand side

- Click Settings.

Click the blue tab titled Main Settings. Main Settings allows you to manage the overall settings that affect the whole Absence Management module.

  • Show Absences By*: Use the drop-down menu to filter absences in your preferred format, such as within the ‘Previous Rolling 12 Months’

  • Allow Employees to Log/Request TOIL: Toggle ‘yes’ to allow employees to log or request TOIL.

  • Allow logging of negative TOIL: Toggle ‘yes’ to allow employees to log negative TOIL.

  • Allow Users who can Approve & Edit Absences to Override Approvals: Toggle ‘yes’ to allow users who have permissions to approve and edit absences to update approved absence instances without resetting the approval status and process.

  • Display Bradford Factor: Toggle ‘yes’ to display Bradford Factor when viewing an employee absence record.

  • Display Return To Work Form to Employees: Toggle ‘no’ to hide the ‘Return To Work’ form from employees.

  • Display Weekends on Analytics: Toggle ‘no’ to hide weekends from the ‘Absence by Day’ analytics.

  • Require Return To Work Acknowledgement: Toggle ‘yes’ to require employees to confirm they have read and agree with the ‘Return To Work’ form.
