How to link an issue, activity or document to an existing risk item
To add an existing issue, activity or document to a risk item please follow the steps below:
Please note that you must have an access level higher than issues only.
Please select:
- Risk from the main menu on the left hand side.
- Manage from within the Risk module. From there please find the risk item that you are wanting to link an issue, activity or document to by either searching through the table using the magnifying glass icons on the table headings or by selecting the tabs My Risk Items or All Risk Items.
Once the risk item has been found, click on the title of the risk.
This will take you to the Manage Risk Item screen.
Within this screen, please scroll down until you find the tab labelled Actions.
Within the Actions tab you can then select whether you wish to add a Related Issue, Activity or Document.
In this example, we will select to add a Related Issue.
A new window will now pop up and you will be presented with two tabs at the top asking whether you wish to link this item to an issue you will create now or an existing issue.
If you select the tab Select Existing Issue, you will now be presented with the following screen whereby you can view currently open and closed issues on your system. Simply tick the empty box beside the required issue and select Add Issue at the bottom.
Now the Actions tab will show the linked item as below.
