How to add a milestone

To add a milestone to your project please follow the steps below:

Please note that a project must already exist and you must be a basic (if project is in your name), Standard or Admin level user.

Please Select:

- Projects - Projects.

- Find and click on the project you wish to add a milestone to by either search for the project via the magnifying glass icons beside the column heading names or by selecting the tabs My Projects or All Projects.

- Within the project you will find at the bottom of the first section a row of tabs.

The first tab titled milestones is where you will be able to add a bespoke milestone for your project or select from a template on your system.

- Scroll to the bottom of the screen with the tab Milestone selected.

From here you will see the options Add Milestone, Add From Templates and Edit Multiple Milestones.

- Select Add Milestone.

You will now be taken to a new screen whereby you will be required to fill out the title of the milestone as this is mandatory field. I would advise that you complete all of the fields and also tick Auto-Calculate % which will then calculate the % completion of this milestone based on the open/closed issues associated.

Once saved, the milestone will then be added and visible from the tab Milestones within the project.

If you selected Add from templates instead of Add Milestone you can quickly add a pre-existing milestone to your project.

To set these up please go to Projects - Settings and then the tab Milestones from the left hand side navigation bar.
