Embed Documents To Your Website

Please note that you must have an access level of Basic or higher to embed documents onto your website.

There are two options when it comes to embedding documents onto your school website. You can either embed all documents of a certain type or embed an individual document item.

Please note that if the document item is a central document from Multi-site then please refer to the section titled 'How do I embed a central document onto my school website' within this guide.

How do I embed an individual school level document onto my school website?

To embed an individual document onto your school website select Documents, then Manage, and then All Documents from the left-hand navigation menu.

Here you will see three tabs. Find the document you wish to embed on the second blue tab titled 'Current Live Versions' and click on the 'Document Title' to take you to the 'Manage' page.

At the top of the 'Manage' page is a white button titled 'Embed Document'. By clicking on this button a popup window will appear. You first need to select which font you wish the document to be displayed in using the 'Font' dropdown menu. The bottom part of the screen contains the 'Output HTML Embed Code'. Copy and paste the 'Output HTML Embed Code' into your school website's 'HTML Source Code' in the designated area.

How do I embed multiple school level documents onto my school website?

To embed multiple documents onto your school website select Documents, then Manage, and then All Documents from the left-hand navigation menu.

At the top of the 'Managing Documents' page you will see a white button titled 'Embed All Documents'.

By clicking on this button a popup window will appear. Within the 'Type' drop-down menu you have the option to choose which 'Type' of document you wish to embed. If you choose to select a 'Type' then the Output HTML Embed Code will reflect this and only show the documents associated with the chosen type. Next, please select which font you wish the document to be displayed in using the 'Font' dropdown menu. Finally, the bottom part of the screen contains the 'Output HTML Embed Code'. Copy and paste the 'Output HTML Embed Code' into your school website's 'HTML Source Code' in the designated area.

How do I embed a central document onto my school's websites?

You can embed all your central documents on both your Trust website and those for individual schools.

Please note that you must have MAT Admin access to embed a Trust level document.

Ensure you are in Multi-Site view, and using the left-hand navigation menu select Documents, Central Documents, then Setup.

From here click on the white ‘Embed All Documents’ button at the top of the 'Central Documents Setup' page. By clicking this button a pop-up window will appear and contained within you will find an embed code which can be added to the html of your website.

Within the pop-up window, select whether you would like to embed all documents (No Filter / All Categories) or select a specific category from the drop-down menu and the HTML Code will then reflect this decision. Copy and paste the Output HTML Embed Code into your trust or school websites HTML Source Code in the designated area.

The created links will automatically update to show the current live version of each document. If there is not a ‘live’ version of a document, it will not display in this list.
