How to add a Location, Department and Asset Type

To add either a new location, department or asset type to your Every system please follow the steps below:

Please note that you must have an access level higher than issues only.

Please select:

- Assets on the main menu on the left hand side.

To Add a Location please select:

- Site Setup

- Click on the first tab Locations

- Scroll down to the tree like structure and right click where you would like to add a new location and select Create.

- You will then see a popup box appear asking for the name and also the location ID if you wish to add this. Please select Save.

- The new location will now be within the structure, if you wish to edit or delete please right click and select the appropriate option.

To add a Department please select:

- Site Setup

- Click on the second tab Departments.

- Click on Add Department at the top of the screen.

- You will then see a popup window appear asking for the name and description of the department. Please enter as appropriate and select Save.

- This new department will now show in the table below and when assets are assigned to that department the total asset amount will be calculated and listed.

To add an Asset Type please select:

- Asset setup

- Click on the first tab Asset types

- Scroll down to the tree like structure and right click where you would like to add a branch and select Create New.

- A new window will now pop up asking for the title of the Asset type along with additional information which is optional. Once you select Save it will now appear within the structure.
