Troubleshooting for ID Print
IDPoints are not showing up in the Configuration tab
Ensure the IDPoints are turned on and connected to the network. Once this has been done, close and re-open the ID Print Setup application.
Settings are not being saved to the IDPoint
Always click the Apply button after entering settings you wish to be saved. IDPoints need to be licensed before they can be used with the ID Print service. Follow the instructions for Setting up an IDPoint for further details.
ID Print cannot connect to IRIS BioStore
Ensure ID Print is configured to connect to the BioStore Secondary Server in the Server Settings tab. Additionally, ensure the Server is started using the BioStore Secondary Server Setup application.
People in the IRIS BioStore database cannot use the ID Print system
People need to be included and enabled in the ID Print system before they can use it. This process is carried out in ID Manager, by selecting a person (or people) and clicking Edit Person (or Edit People). Under the Programs tab, tick both checkboxes for Include and Enable, and select the appropriate Access type (for example, finger or card).
The log file for ID Print remains empty when the service is started
An IDPoint must be set up in ID Print before logging will be started. This is done using the Configuration tab in ID Print Setup.
Jobs do not print when released from the queue
Many print management solutions will not print a blank page, to avoid paper waste. If you are testing releasing jobs from print queues, try printing a document that contains some text. If this has been done, ensure the user has permission to both release and print to the appropriate device.
