Set Up Universal Infant School Meals (UIFSM) in IRIS FasTrak

For students entitled to Universal Infant School Meals (UIFSM), IRIS FasTrak must be set up to control the amount charged for the UIFSM meals and which year groups they apply to.

UIFSM amounts are applied to student accounts when the next end of day is run. If UIFSM funds are needed immediately, adjust the students funds.

  1. Go to Maintenance, select Settings, then Financial Setup.
  2. To set the amount changed for UIFSM meals, select UIFSM Amount.
  3. In the Settings panel, enter the amount charged for UIFSM, then Save.
  4. To set the year groups that UIFSM amounts apply to, select UIFSM Years.

  5. In the Settings panel, enter all the required year groups separated by commas, then Save.

    Year groups must be entered exactly as they were entered in the People section of IRIS FasTrak. For example, Year1,Year 2,Year 3

  6. To check UIFSM has been set correctly for the year groups, go to People.

  7. For the year groups with UIFSM correctly applied, in Free Meal, Universal is displayed.

    If Universal is not displayed, in check each year group is separate by a comma and the spelling exactly matches the Year in People.
