FasTrak Gateway
The FasTrak gateway is used to populate your IRIS FasTrak installation with user information from ID Manager. You cannot create users directly in IRIS FasTrak.
Open FasTrak Server Setup, select the Gateway tab. From here you can configure the connection to IRIS BioStore (ID Manager), and to IRIS FasTrak.
BioStore connection
Address and Port — Enter the IP address and port number of the BioStore Secondary Server that has your IRIS FasTrak licence applied. You can find the port number in the Secondary Server's Configuration tab.
Ensure there is a login set up in ID Manager with the Gateway login role. If not, create one (see ID Manager's help section for help setting up logins). It is recommended to create a new login rather than use any gateway logins in use by other IRIS BioStore applications.
Username / Password — Enter the username and password of a Gateway login as set up in ID Manager.
Test Connection — Test connectivity between the IRIS FasTrak gateway and IRIS BioStore (ID Manager) with the entered details.
Pos Connection
Address and Port — Enter the IP address and port number of the FasTrak Server. You can find the port number in FasTrak Server's Database tab. If you're running both the database and server services from the same system, enter localhost (127.0.0.1) as the IP Address.
Ensure there is a login set up in FasTrak Admin with the Gateway login role. If not, create one (see FasTrak Admin's help section for help setting up logins).
Username / Password — Enter the username and password of a Gateway login as set up in FasTrak Administration. Note that this is a separate login to the one used for the IRIS BioStore (ID Manager) connection.
Poll every # seconds — Set how often the FasTrak gateway will check for updates from IRIS BioStore (ID Manager). The default value is 0 seconds (continually check for updates).
Test Connection — Test connectivity between the FasTrak gateway and FasTrak Server with the entered details.
Trace Log
View section 3.0 – Trace/Error Logging for Gateway for information about using IRIS FasTrak log files.
Remember to select Apply to save your changes. If FasTrak Server is running, you'll need to restart it from the Control tab before any changes are applied.
