Delete User Records from IRIS BioStore and ID Manager

Deleting people from ID Manager is a two step process. First, people are marked as removed in ID Manager, and then removed people can be deleted. Removed people can be added back in to ID Manager, but you can't restore deleted people.

Deleting people from ID Manager also permanently and securely deletes their enrollment data, including finger scans, from the database.

Removing people

In the People view, select the person to be removed.

The list of existing people will be displayed. Select the person you want to remove.

To select multiple people, hold CTRL on your keyboard and select each individual person. To select a group of people, hold SHIFT on your keyboard and select the first person, and then select the last person to select them and all users in between. To select all users, hold CTRL and tap A.

Select Remove Person from the toolbar.

The selected person (or people) will now appear under the Removed Records tab (which you can find above the list of people) instead of the Active Records or Inactive Records tab. A removed person will no longer be able to use IRIS BioStore programs.

Restoring a removed person

To restore a removed person, select the Removed Records tab and select the person. Either double-click the person or select Edit Person from the toolbar, and un-tick the Removed option for the person. They will now appear in the Active Records or Inactive Records tab as appropriate.

Deleting a user

In the People view, select the Removed Records tab, and then select the person (or people) to be deleted.

Select the Delete Person button from the toolbar. You will be prompted to confirm that you want to delete the selected person (or people).

This will delete the person from the IRIS BioStore database, securely and permanently removing all details and enrollment information.

If you just want to delete a person's enrollment information, see Delete an Enrollment in IRIS BioStore and ID Manager.
